Columbia County Libraries Association Tech Lab Dates and Times Flyer. February 11, 6:00 p.m. - Generative AI This Lab is a beginner learning session. Find out why the world is talking about AI and learn how to use it. Already using ChatGPT or other AI programs? Find out how to use it better. February 15, 6:00 p.m. - Google Drive In this Lab, learn how to organize, store, and share files seamlessly with Google Drive while mastering collaboration features. We will learn about Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. March 11, 6:00 p.m. - Computer Security & Internet Scams These days, with cyberattacks intensifying, it's even more important to protect yourself by keeping safe online. In this Lab, learn about cybersecurity and how you can protect yourself from hackers and online scams, avoid falling prey to viruses and phishing emails, manage your passwords, secure your data, and understand security attacks! There are many ways to protect yourself online. Stay safe online with tips to recognize scams, protect your accounts, and secure your digital presence. March 25, 6:00 p.m. - Social Media In this Lab, we will explore various social media platforms as well as the risks and benefits of using them and help you better understand your digital footprint. April 15, 6:00 p.m. - Google Search Discover smart search techniques to find what you need faster online. April 29, 6:00 p.m. - Library Apps In this Lab, you will explore the essential apps that make the library accessible and convenient, from borrowing ebooks to accessing research tools on your device. Learn how to access library books, magazines, and all sorts of digital services and learning tools from your computer or phone at home or anywhere remotely!
