Wednesday, June 29: (1:30 p.m.) “Life in the Sea” – Mad Science for Grades K – 5 with Meredith
Week 2: July 3 – July 9
Wednesday, July 6: (11 a.m.) Pt 1 of Make Globe / Ocean Pinatas for kids 5 & older
Thursday, July 7: (10:30 a.m.) Beginning Book Club for children ages 3 – 5. Come to the Library to listen to a story, do a craft, have a snack & receive a free book. Register early so that we have enough books.
Friday, July 8: (1:30 p.m.) Paint and Snack for Kids 7 and older.
Saturday, July 9: (10 a.m.) Mud Creek presents “Ecosystem Study” for kids 8 and older

Monday, July 18: (1:30 p.m.) Brad Shur’s Marionette Workshop “Ocean of Stories” for families
Wednesday, July 20: (12 – 2 p.m. ) Make Smores the NASA way for Kids 5 and older

Friday, July 22: (7 p.m.) Jeff Boyer Conducts “Fun with Energy” for families in Martin Glynn Gym

Monday, July 25 (4:30- 6 p.m.): Our second Pickling Workshop with the Sylvia Center. Join us at Katchkie Farm (745 Fischer, Kinderhook) to make your own pickles.
Thursday, July 28 (1:30 p.m.): Tie Dye a T-shirt with Sharpies for Kids 10 and older
Saturday, July 30 (2 – 3 p.m.) “Face Vessels” Clay Workshop with Grace Lange for all ages
Week 6: July 31 – August 6
Wednesday, August 3: (11 a.m.) miSci of Schenectady presents “Crime Lab Science” – Ages 10 & older Thursday, August 4: (10:30 a.m.) Story Telling and Chalk Art with Library Staff for All Ages. Create a story and then illustrate it with a chalk drawing in the VFL Parking Lot.
Friday, August 5: (6:30 p.m.) Paint and Snack for Teens /Adults
Saturday, August 6: (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) Bike Ride with N. Chatham Library. Bike the Trail to North Chatham or whatever point you wish. Drawing for two prizes for those who complete the course to North Chatham and back to Valatie Free Library.
Week 7: August 7 – August 9
Tuesday, August 9: (6:30 p.m.) END OF SUMMER PARTY for families at Callan Park. Check VFL website valatielibrary.net for details.
