On Thursday, May 30th at 7 p.m., there will be a meeting at the Valatie Free Library to discuss plans for the Albany-Hudson Electric Trail. Andy Beers, Director of the Empire State Trail, will be here as well as representatives from the Columbia Friends of the Electric Trail. Focus of the discussion will be on the trail construction, proposed for this spring; the exact location of the trail route and its maintenance.
Questions from the community about the trail that will run from Rensselaer to Hudson/Greenport, mostly along the National Grid right-of-way will be addressed. This will also be an opportunity for people to volunteer for tasks associated with the Trail’s maintenance.
What would you like to know about the Trail? Join us at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30th at the Valatie Free Library / 1036 Kinderhook Street, Valatie to be fully informed. The event is free and open to the public.
